The following are the submission details for the 2011 festival being held September 25-29, 2011 in NYC. The deadline for submissions is July 30, 2011 - no exceptions.

Auditions for sketch comedy will be held July 31 and August 2nd from 6:00-9:00 pm. At Ripley Grier (520 Eighth Avenue, between 36th & 37th Street).
Candidates MUST be of Arab descent. Please submit a headshot and biography to auditions@arabcomedy.org, along with the preferred date and time for auditions.

The Festival is divided into three parts: sketch comedy, stand up comedy and comedic films. The details for the submissions in each area are as follows:

- Sketch comedy: We are seeking sketch comedy pieces written or co-written by Arab-Americans of no longer than 10 minutes. The works can be one acts or excerpts from a longer work. The pieces do not have to be Arab themed. Please included with your submission, contact information and short bio, script, with character breakdown, and a one-paragraph blurb about the play. If the play has been staged already, you can submit a DVD of the play.

- Stand up comedy: Please submit a link to a 5-7 minute clip of your stand up comedy via email to submissions@arabcomedy.org. The comedy does not have to be Arab themed but comedians must be of Arab heritage to be eligible. We are accept stand up clips in English or Arabic.

- Comedic Films: We are seeking short comedic films up to 10 minutes that have been made by Arab-Americans. The films do not have to be Arab themed. Please send us a DVD and include contact information, short bio and a one-paragraph blurb about the film.

All submissions must be RECEIVED by July 30, 2011. Due to time constraints, any submissions received after the deadline will not be considered for this year's Festival. Submissions of scripts should be sent via email to submissions@arabcomedy.org.
