Tracy C. Francis is an Egyptian American director and actress. She is happy to be working with the Arab Comedy Festival again as it is the only place where her degree in Middle East studies and theatre makes perfect sense.
Recent directing credits include
"Psalms of a Questionable Nature," (NY International Fringe Festival),
"Rubayyat of Omar Khayam" and "Train" ( The Noor Festival),
"A Marriage Proposal (Cairo, Egypt), "Pharoah" (NY Arab American Comedy Festival). Assistant directing credits include
"Blue Before Morning" (Terra Nova Collective @ DR2 theatre), and
"The Black Eyed" (New York Theatre Workshop) She has pursued her love of comedy as an intern at
"Saturday Night Live", and was a participant in LaMama's International Directing Symposium in Italy last summer. She recently appeared in
"Shekinah" at LaMama Etc., and is looking forward to directing
"Romeo and Juliet" for Curious Frog Theatre Company this summer.
